LinkedIn company page notification center update

LinkedIn Company Pages New Notification Center

Social Media is an essential part of the marketing strategy for any business. LinkedIn is one of the most preferred social media platforms for the B to B business promotion. Almost every business has a company profile on LinkedIn nowadays. But it is surprising that according to a recent survey only 57% of companies are using the company page feature of LinkedIn. LinkedIn generates the highest lead conversion rate among all other social media platforms. Online marketers are getting aware of the power of LinkedIn and expected to spend more and more time on LinkedIn for promotional purpose in 2015. According to the studies, graduates are the fastest-growing demographic group as LinkedIn users. This creates a huge opportunity for marketers to close more and more leads through the biggest professional social network. LinkedIn has also taken the stats seriously and made some visual and interactive changes on company page interface to make it more appealing for the marketers.

LinkedIn has introduced a new LinkedIn company page notification centre via a blog post on 17th February 2015. You can now effectively monitor and easily manage the company page with this new notification centre on the page. You can easily identify all the activities and interactions going on your page easily. The updated dashboard also allows you to:

  • Get an aggregated overview of how many likes, comments, and shares you’ve received on Company Page updates and how often your company has been mentioned by LinkedIn members on the platform
  • View every publicly shared mention of your company on LinkedIn
  • See all of the most recent likes, comments and shares your company has received in a single view
  • Comment and like as a company representative in response to mentions about your company

>p>LinkedIn has changed the way in which they were showing notification on the page so far. You will receive only single notification even when multiple actions to be taken place on your page. All the actions will be aggregated in the single notification and you will receive that notification only. It makes it easier for admin to manage the company’s LinkedIn profiles while keeping the proper track on the personal notifications from the personal network.

According to LinkedIn, the purpose of the update is to empower members with more useful and meaningful content. It will also help page admin to exactly understand what type of post engage the targeted audience effectively.

LinkedIn is having the impression of being less user-friendly for the normal users in comparison to Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms. But such updates can change the mind of the user. It is very easy to update and manage the page with this update now. How do you find this new notification dashboard of LinkedIn? Will it encourage users to optimize the company page for business expansion? Give us your thoughts on this new feature of LinkedIn in the comment box below.
