This is the help document for the Related Posts for Distinct Posts plugin. We recommend going through this plugin manual before installing and using the plugin.

“Related Posts for Distinct Posts” is a WordPress plugin that displays list of different default posts as well as custom post as related posts. You can search and select different related posts for every single individual post.

1. WordPress 4.4 or higher
2. Install any plugin for thumbnail regeneration (if you want to display thumbnail in related posts section then recommended).

Upload via WordPress Admin Panel

1. Log into WordPress and Plugins page
2. Select the .zip file you downloaded and click Install
3. Enter your FTP information if required and install the plugin
4. Activate the plugin

Upload via FTP

1. Unzip the .zip file you downloaded.
2. Upload the “Related Posts for Distinct Posts” plugin folder to your wp-content/plugins directory.
3. Navigate to your Admin Panel: Plugins.
4. Under “Related Posts for Distinct Posts”, click Activate.

Once you have installed the plugin, you have to visit Appearance >> Related Posts for Distinct Posts to use it.

Display different list of related posts

You can easily add or remove related post type in single post.

Provides shortcode

To display Related Posts section on respective custom post, [rpdp_related_posts] shortcode is used.

Thumbnails of different sizes

You can set any size of the image.

1. you can hide thumbnail by selecting ‘hide’ option.
2. The featured image of respective custom post will be displayed.
3. Select thumbnail size or you can enter your own custom size.

Note: For resizing the thumbnail, any thumbnail regeneration plugin must be installed.

Support various post meta like comments, authors etc

You can set various post meta like comments, authors, excerpt etc.

Translation enabled

This Plugin is translation enabled. You can translate the strings in any language you want by using any Translation Plugin.

Display Random Posts

Displays random posts if no individual posts have been selected. Also can display posts according to current post category.
