Nokia surprises all with new Android based tablet Nokia N1

Nokia has sold his mobile phone business to Microsoft back in 2013 but they still have technology division on their hands. The Nokia N1 Tablet is the first hardware product of the post-Microsoft Nokia Company. Though Nokia N1 tablet is an android operated device; people have found it, look exactly like new iPad Mini. From its size to precise camera placing, it looks like a clone of iPad Mini.

Nokia N1 has screen size of 7.9 inches same as the iPad mini and the screen resolution of 2048*1536 pixels. The backside of the tablet also looks same as the Apple device because of the adoption of a single piece of anodized aluminum design. The device is just 6.9 millimeters thick (thinner than the iPad Mini) with total height of device 200.7 mm and width 138.6 mm. The total weight of the tablet is just 318 grams that makes it a lightweight and compact android device. It is featured with the 8MP rear and 5MP front facing camera. 8MP rear camera comes with the auto focus technology that allows 1080p video recording also. It supports high quality stereo sound through its twin set of speakers and 3.5 mm audio port.

Nokia N1 tablet comes with the reversible USB Type C port. This is where things started changing to make the N1 tablet better than the iPad Mini. There is no micro USB connection here, unlike other tablet devices. You don’t need to think about how the cable is plugged in with this universal reversible type C USB port. The device is powered by the 5300-mAh battery which will provide up to 9 hours of usage time per charge.

Nokia N1 runs on the 64-bit 2.4GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor along with 2GB of RAM and 32GB storage memory. It works on Android Lollipop 5.0 operation system, but Nokia has decided to add its Z Launcher over the top. Z Launcher keeps check on your application usage and creates a list of the common actions and software you use on your home screen. If you can’t find the application you are looking for on home screen; you just need to scrawl the letters on screen and Z Launcher will come up with application suggestion installed on your device.

Nokia N1 tablet is available in two different colours. One is lava gray and another is natural aluminum. Nokia N1 tablet will be available in China for $250 around 19th February 2015 (The Chinese New Year). It will be rolled out in Russia and other European countries after the Chinese launch. Nokia N1 seems to be a great offering for the users who want an iPad Mini operating on Android system.
