Instagram has made some major updates in features and interface of the App for iOS and Android. There are a few changes, but the most important modification was that now it allows you to edit the image caption while uploading the image. According to the Instagram, caption editing is one of the most requested feature by the community. Now people can edit the caption by tapping on the menu button below the post and select the edit option. Once you edit the caption it will include the note indicating that the post was edited. Though Instagram has included the caption edition feature; it won’t allow users to edit the comments made on any post.
Instagram announced on that official blog post: “we’ve added the ability to go back and edit captions on your posts. When you share a moment to Instagram, a typo shouldn’t get in the way. This has been one of the top requests that we’ve heard from the community, and we’re excited to finally bring it to you today. You’ll find a new “Edit” option in the menu beneath your image. Tap it to edit your caption.”
Instagram has also improved the explore page to find the people you want to follow. The original explore icon is now replaced with the magnifying glass icon in the updated version of the app. It is the further break into two different tabs “Photos” and “People” while you tap on the new explore icon. The Photo tab works exactly same as the old explore tab. You can find all the popular photos and videos among your friends as a scrolling grid in Photos section. The people tab shows you the recommendations of the people you might like to follow. It gives you the suggestion of the people followed by your friends and people connected with you via other social media networks.
