Apple launched new iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3

Thinner than ever

Apple said last year that iPad Air was as thin as the pencil new iPad Air 2 is even thinner. Apple has claimed that it will be the thinnest tablet device available in the market. It is just 6.1 millimeters thick or having a thickness of just 0.24 inch. It is 18% thinner than the first iPad Air. They have united different screen layers and display components together to make it thinner than ever. That makes the images on screen look much closer than your figures. It has also made the product lowest reflective among all. That reduces the glare by 56%.

Camera that capture all details

iPad Air 2 is featured with the 8Mp iSight camera having f/2.4 aperture. It gives great image result because of its built-in image stabilizer of A8X processor. Front facing camera is also improved by using the new lens with f/2.2 aperture to take better photos even in low light. Another great feature of new iPad is that it enables you to capture the slo-mo videos. Slo-mo on iPad Air 2 is 120 frames per second, which is 240 fps in case of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. You can also take the 43MP panorama pictures using this device.

Advance processer makes it faster

iPad Air 2 powered by the latest A8X processor and M8 co-processor. It gives the iPad a speed boost that everybody was expecting. It is 40% faster than the iPad Air and the graphics in it are 2.5x faster.  It has a built-in Touch ID fingerprint scanner into Home button that enables owner to unlock the device by touching the thumb on the scanner. It also means that this device is compatible with the Apple Pay.

Easy apps purchase through Apple Pay

iPad Air 2 is compatible with Apple’s own payment system Apple Pay. You can’t do in store purchase using this device because there is no Near-Field Communication (NFC) radio in this device. It means that iPad Air 2 is indented for the shopping within the apps not for the in store shopping.

Just like the previous iPad models it has battery life of 10 hours. iPad Air 2 also has the support for 802.11ac Wi-Fi networks. It is available in standard “space” gray, silver and in gold for the first time. Apple has followed the same pricing model as the previous generation of iPads. It starts at $499 for 16GB, $599 for 64GB and $829 for 128GB. They have not declared the exact date when it will be available in stores, but the pre-booking is already started on 17^th October. It is expected that it will be available by the end of next week.

What is new in iPad mini 3?

Apple has also announced new iPad mini 3 in that event. They have not made major changes compared to the previous model. It is of the same size and supported by the same A7 processor. It is already quite faster device with the retina display. The change you will find in this device is that it now has the Touch ID. So you will be able to take all the benefits of touch id and Apple Money using this new iPad mini 3.
