How KrishaWeb Built a Patent-Pending Jewelry Configurator

The Road I’ve Traveled, known as TRIT, is a US based luxury custom jewelry brand built around a deeply personal concept. Using their patent pending TouchDate Technique, TRIT creates handcrafted pieces where diamonds or raised dots are positioned to represent a specific month and day chosen by the customer. Every piece is a wearable memory. A wedding date, a child’s birthday, a moment that mattered.

The brand sells direct to consumers, targeting individuals and gift buyers who want jewelry with genuine personal meaning. When TRIT approached KrishaWeb, the brand existed, the product existed, the patent existed. The eCommerce platform did not. Every day without it was a day of zero revenue from a concept that was already ready to sell.

The Challenge

TRIT needed an eCommerce platform that had never been built before. No existing tool, plugin or out of the box configuration could handle what the product required. The configurator had to be invented from the ground up.

A customer selects a date and the platform must translate that into the precise diamond placement, generate the correct variant, load the matching image and calculate the accurate price across all options in real time.

Customer Should Never Know About the Complexity

Thousands of date and configuration combinations exist on the back end. The customer sees a clean four step process that feels like choosing jewelry rather than configuring a product.

This was a greenfield build with no comparable reference, no plugin to extend and no margin for discovering fundamental design flaws halfway through a seven month timeline.

After reviewing all platform options, Adobe Commerce was the only choice whose extensibility architecture could support the TouchDate variant logic natively rather than as a workaround.

Affiliate Program at Launch

We built the affiliate and referral program as a Phase 3 deliverable so it was live and active before the first customer arrived rather than added after launch.

Phase 1 – UI/UX Research and Design

  • Conducted structured discovery sessions to fully document the TouchDate logic and map every configuration variable including date, metal type, diamond type, jewelry style and size.
  • Designed a four step configurator flow structured to reduce drop off at each decision point.

  • Integrated secure payment processing, shipping fulfillment and the affiliate and referral program module at launch.

Phase 4 – Quality Assurance

  • Verified 100% configurator accuracy across every date and configuration combination before launch.
  • End to end tested all variant generation, pricing calculations and image switching.
  • Completed full checkout and payment processing testing including edge cases and failure scenarios.
  • Conducted cross browser and cross device testing with focused attention on mobile conversion flow.
  • Performance tested all high traffic configurator pages before any customer accessed the live site.

Phase 5 – DevOps and Deployment

  • A scalable cloud based environment was created for production.
  • Performance was verified at the time of deployment before going live.
  • A 72 hour monitoring period ran after launch to detect and resolve any issues in the live environment.
